Can you run power out to a shed on an acreage block?
Yes, and it is regular work for us here. The key is sizing the cable for the length of the run, not just the load, because voltage drop over a long distance will leave equipment underperforming for reasons that are hard to diagnose later. We also fit a submain and its own isolation at the shed so it can be worked on safely without shutting down the house.
Why do my lights dim when the pump or the aircon starts?
That is usually voltage drop or a supply that is at its limit, not a lighting fault. A large motor draws a heavy inrush current when it starts, and if the cable or the supply cannot carry it the voltage sags for a moment. We measure it rather than guess, then tell you whether the answer is a dedicated circuit, a bigger cable or a supply upgrade.

Can you install an EV charger at a house or a shed?
Yes. The work worth doing first is checking what your existing supply and board can actually carry, because that decides which charger makes sense and whether a supply upgrade is needed. On a larger block the distance to where you park is also part of the calculation. We quote the charger circuit and any supply work separately so you can see both.
Are you licensed to do this work?

Queensland separates the two licences that matter: the electrician doing the work holds an electrical work licence, and the business contracting it holds an electrical contractor licence.
