I am about to lease the property out. What do I need to have done?
The main one is smoke alarms. Queensland requires interconnected photoelectric alarms in the right locations for any property being sold, leased or re-leased. Beyond that, a safety switch on the power circuits is a sensible baseline, and having the board checked before a tenant moves in avoids the call-out you would otherwise get in month two.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Always. Ceiling dust, offcuts and packaging all leave with us, and we put furniture back where we found it. It is one of the things reviewers mention most, which says something about how often it gets skipped.
