Queensland requires interconnected photoelectric alarms, so that when one sounds they all do, installed in every bedroom, in hallways connecting bedrooms, and on every storey. The requirement applies to properties being sold or leased under a new or renewed agreement. Most homes built before the standard came in need alarms added and linked, not just replaced.
Can my board handle an EV charger?
Often yes, but it needs checking rather than assuming. We look at the main supply, what capacity is left in the board, and the distance to where you park. If the existing setup takes it, the job is straightforward. If it does not, we quote the supporting work up front so there are no surprises halfway through.
We already have solar. Does that change anything?
It can. Solar occupies space and capacity at the board, and adding a large new load such as a charger or ducted air conditioning needs the whole installation looked at rather than just the new circuit. We assess what is already there before quoting so the numbers reflect your actual setup.
Can you work while tenants are living there?
