We’re hiring a qualified maintenance electrician for residential work across the Gold Coast. Local jobs, home every night.

No vague promises. Here is the actual package, in writing, before you give us your name.
Plus performance incentives and a share of what your van bills each month. For the right person there is room to move on the base rate.
Paid once you have started. Our way of making the move worth your while, on top of your hourly rate.
Fully kitted, and it comes home with you. Your own ute goes back to being your weekend car.
No resume needed, and nothing gets back to your current boss. Fill in what you can and we’ll call you after hours, so you’re not taking our call on a job. You’ll hear from us within 24 hours either way.
Hi, I’m Mitch. I started MF Electrical Group on my own, and it has grown faster than I can cover.
The phone now rings around 60 times a week. That is not a sales line, it is just where the business is at, and it is the reason I am advertising instead of working later and later.
What I am after is one qualified electrician who can be trusted in a customer’s home without me standing over them. Someone who explains what they are doing, cleans up after themselves, and gets it right the first time.
If that is how you already work, the rest of this page is about what you get in return.
103 reviews on Google and 101 of them are five stars. That record is the business, and protecting it is the only thing we really ask.
Our work does not come back. You will spend your days on new jobs instead of apologising at the door for something that was done badly last month.
The customers already need us. You are not doorknocking, quoting cold or getting sent home at lunchtime in a quiet week. You turn up to booked work and your pay packet in February looks like your pay packet in November.
When a customer leaves a five star review that names you, there is a bonus in it. The thing that grows the business is the thing we pay for.
Every one of these is a real Google review. This is what you would be putting your name to.
“We were let down by another business and he fitted us in very quickly. He was very knowledgeable and gave great advice. His workmanship was quick and impeccable and he cleaned up before he left.”
Julie, Google review
“Turned up on time, did a quality job and left everything clean and tidy afterwards. Great communication, fair pricing and excellent workmanship.”
Bailey, Google review
“Professional workmanship and excellent communication throughout the whole job. Arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and completed the work to a very high standard.”
Harrisen, Google review
Residential service and maintenance is most of it. Switchboard upgrades, safety switches, power and lighting, fault finding, and split system air conditioning installs.
It is a service van, not a construction site. You are in people’s homes and dealing with the customer directly, so being able to explain things plainly matters as much as the work itself.
Jobs run through ServiceM8, so your day sits on your phone and the paperwork is finished before you leave the driveway.
All of it is on the Gold Coast. There is no run up to Brisbane and no interstate work.
The things that do not fit in a job ad.
Palm Beach to Currumbin and across the Coast. You will be surfing before work, not sitting on the M1.
On top of your hourly rate you take a share of what your van turns over each month. The better you work, the more you make.
You get your first twelve weeks mapped out before you start. What you are doing, what you are learning, what we expect. No guessing.
Good sparkies know other good sparkies. Bring one across and if they stick, you get paid for it.
There is room to move on the base rate for the right person. If you think you are worth more than the advertised band, say so and we will have the conversation.
Your application is confidential. We do not contact current employers, and we do not ring a referee until you tell us you are comfortable with it.
Three steps, and the first one takes about a minute.
No resume, no cover letter, no account to create. Fill in what you can and send it.
So you are not taking a call about another job while you are standing in someone’s kitchen. You will hear from us within 24 hours either way.
No panel and no HR department. You meet Mitch, you ask whatever you want, and if it still looks right you spend a day out on the job before either of us commits.
I am Mitch Frew. I am the one who will interview you, work alongside you, and answer the phone when you ring.
I am still on the tools, so I know what a bad day looks like and I am not going to ask you to do something I would not do myself.
If something goes wrong on a job we sort it out together. You will not find out you have made a mistake by being pulled up in front of a customer.
Come and have a coffee, and decide for yourself.
We are filling one seat, so we would rather you ruled yourself out now than three weeks in.
Straight answers, so you are not guessing before you apply.
$50 to $60 an hour plus super, depending on experience, and a $2,000 sign on bonus once you have started. On top of that there are performance incentives and a share of what your van bills each month. For the right person there is room to move on the base rate, so if you think you are worth more than the band, tell us and we will have the conversation.
No. You get a brand new fully kitted vehicle and it comes home with you. Your own ute goes back to being your weekend car.
No. Your application is confidential and nothing goes back to your current boss. We do not ring a referee until you have told us you are comfortable with it.
Yes. The resume upload is optional. Fill in the form, tell us what you have worked on, and that is enough to start a conversation.
Mostly residential service and maintenance across the Gold Coast. Switchboard upgrades, safety switches, power and lighting, fault finding, and split system air conditioning installs. It is a service van rather than a construction site.
Gold Coast only. We work from Palm Beach and Currumbin up across the Coast. There is no run to Brisbane and no interstate work.
A current Queensland electrical licence and a full driver’s licence are both essential. A full manual licence is strongly preferred. You will also need to be able to hold a conversation with a customer in their own home.
Within 24 hours of applying, either way. If you look like a fit we will call you after hours so you are not taking the call on a job.
It takes about a minute, it’s confidential, and you don’t need a resume. Worst case, you have a coffee with Mitch and decide it isn’t for you.
