How We Earn Your Business in Miami
Hi, I’m Mitch. What I promise every customer is the same thing regardless of how big the job is: you will know what we found, what it will cost, and what we recommend, before any decision lands on you.
That matters more than it sounds. A lot of electrical work is invisible once it is finished, which makes it easy to cut corners nobody would ever see. Our answer is to test properly, sign off in writing, and guarantee the workmanship for life so there is no incentive for us to do anything else.
You get the same team, the same standard and the same fixed pricing whether it is one power point or a full commercial fit-out.
The other half of it is respecting the property. Older houses here have plaster and cornices that do not forgive a rushed job, and a working kitchen or workshop cannot be left half apart overnight. So we plan cable routes before we start cutting, contain the dust, and leave the space usable at the end of every day rather than at the end of the job.

Palm Beach LocalWhy Miami Locals Choose Us
We hold 100+ five-star Google reviews, and they mostly describe the same experience: an electrician who arrived on time, quoted honestly and left the place tidy.
The other thing customers here value is that we work on both sides of the suburb. A house that needs a safety switch and a cafe that needs air conditioning and ventilation sorted before a Friday service get the same team and the same fixed pricing. There is no call out fee in standard hours, and our workmanship guarantee runs for life rather than for a token warranty period.
What the Visit Looks Like in Miami
We ask enough on the phone to arrive with the right parts, then give you an arrival window we mean to keep. If it moves, we call you.
On arrival we assess properly, quote in writing at a fixed price on that same visit, and start only once you have approved it. Floors are protected, the mess is cleaned up, everything is tested on completion, and you receive the Certificate of Testing and Compliance. For anything urgent, our 24/7 emergency electricians are available around the clock.
Covering Miami and the Suburbs Around It
Miami has a longer history than most of the suburbs around it. The original Miami Shore subdivision dates to the 1920s, when the first houses were timber and fibro holiday cottages, and the suburb went through its biggest building phase in the 1960s. Pizzey Park was established on sixty hectares at the end of that decade and still anchors the middle of the suburb.
What makes Miami distinctive to work in is that it never became purely residential. The pocket around Hillcrest Parade remains a genuine light industrial and creative precinct, with converted warehouses now holding food venues, breweries, studios and trade businesses, alongside the retail strip on the highway. So a week here might take in a 1960s house on its original board, a walk-up unit block near the beach, a new townhouse development, and a warehouse tenancy that needs three phase power run to new equipment.
We cover Miami and everything around it as one service area, including Nobby Beach, Mermaid Beach, Mermaid Waters, Varsity Lakes, Burleigh Waters, Burleigh Heads, Clear Island Waters. Wherever you are, the process and the pricing are the same.
What Miami Customers Ask Before Booking
The questions Miami residents and business owners raise most often before they book, covering pricing, licensing, older wiring and how we schedule commercial work around trading.
Do you charge to come out and look at a problem?
Not in standard business hours. The call out fee is $0, so an assessment and a fixed written quote cost you nothing and you are free to think about it. After-hours and emergency attendance works differently, and we explain exactly what applies at the time you call.
Can you work outside trading hours for a shop or cafe?
Yes, and for most commercial jobs it is the sensible option. We schedule around service periods so the business does not lose a day, whether that means an early start, an evening or a Sunday. The scope and the price are agreed in writing beforehand so there is no negotiation happening on the night.
My house is from the 1960s. Does it need rewiring?
Not always. Plenty of houses from that era have been partially rewired over the years and the original cabling may only remain in sections. We inspect what is actually there, test the circuits and tell you whether it is a targeted repair, a board replacement or a genuine rewire. You get the honest version, not the expensive one by default.
Do you install three phase power for workshops?
We do. Three phase is common through the industrial and warehouse tenancies here for machinery, commercial kitchen equipment and larger air conditioning. We check what is available at the point of supply first, because that determines whether it is a straightforward board change or a job that needs coordination with the network.
Will I get paperwork when the job is finished?
Yes. Every completed electrical installation gets a Certificate of Testing and Compliance, which records that the work has been tested and meets the required standard. Keep it, because it is the document that matters if you are selling, insuring or leasing the property later.
Is a safety switch actually required?
Requirements depend on the property and when work was done, but the practical answer is that safety switches on socket-outlet and lighting circuits are the single most effective protection against electric shock in a home. If your board has none, we would recommend fitting them regardless of what the minimum obligation happens to be.
Who issues electrical licences in Queensland?
The Electrical Safety Office, under the Electrical Safety Act 2002. There are two levels: an electrical work licence for the person doing the work and an electrical contractor licence for the business. MF Electrical Group holds Electrical Contractor Licence #177020 and is fully insured.
